I was stationed at Dyess at the same time as Perry, Vietnam was winding down. It was a SAC base with MAC being a tenant. B52’s, KC-135’s and the C-130. Always thought of it as the armpit of Texas. Town was DRY (Booze wise), and really didn't like the Military, IIRC.
