In my younger days I was approached often with unwanted advances from men (I’m a “she”) and I knew how to deal with such advances, or learned how, after a while.
I was also “hit on” by two lesbians. The (HIGHLY) unwanted advances by the homosexuals were infinitely more disturbing than the opposite sex advances, no matter how crude or even aggressive the men might have sometimes been.
Neither of the homosexuals who made advances touched me or in any way were aggressively trying to, but the nausea and repulsion factor was extremely high, and very disturbing emotionally. And not because (as not either of you would think obviously!) I was “secretly attracted” but the only thing that comes to mind would be if someone offered me a s*** sandwich, the repulsion and emotionally strong reaction might be similar.
It’s normal and natural for men to be attracted to women and women to be attracted to men, even though some humans act like “animals” and make (very) unwanted advances, it’s still within the realm of Mother Nature. But the same advances made by a homosexual are in a whole ‘nother realm, and I can personally attest to this.
When these events happened I was (IIRC) 17 and 19 and had not formulated my current moral values, but the repulsion and fear were inherent in my very being, and indeed, helped in a small way, to shape my values.
Very well put.
