Blacks: Having the Most Homophobic Month Ever (?)
Henry Louis Gates' "The Root" ^ | 21 June | Cane

Posted on 06/21/2011 6:37:12 AM PDT by flowerplough

From athlete David Tyree's anti-marriage-equality stance to rapper Tyler, the Creator's slurs to Tracy Morgan's rant, June has been full of anti-gay outbursts.

This time of the year should be celebratory for the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community. It's LGBT Pride Month, which was made official by President Barack Obama in 2010. New York City's Pride events kick off this week, and in a matter of days, New York may become the most populous state in the nation to legalize gay marriage. But while all of this positive news is going on in the gay community, black folks might be having the most homophobic month ever.

First there's Tracy Morgan, who made several insensitive jokes during a now infamous "comedy" routine in which he made the heinous statement that he would stab his son if he were gay. Morgan has since apologized and is licking the boots of any gay organization that will listen. He's even returning to Nashville, Tenn., where he delivered the homophobic rant, to apologize to those who were offended. Morgan should have known the power of the gays, ...

Next, F-list rapper Tyler, the Creator of Odd Future proudly used the word "faggot" 213 times on his album Goblin. He rationalized, "I have gay fans and they don't really take it offensive." Tyler has gay fans? He has fans? His album, which was released in early May, has sold just a little more than 75,000 copies.

( ... )

Even at a Safeway in Washington, D.C., one of the gayest cities in America, a random checkout girl called two customers faggots. The men immediately filed a complaint and got an apology from Safeway, and the checkout girl apologized on camera. Whatever happened to customer service and valuing your job?

Gates is a sick man to compare David Tyree’s sincere religious convictions to keep marriage as one man-one woman, with sick cokehead Tracy Morgan’s “joke” about murdering a gay son, and some no-name insult-hurling rapper.

You gotta love how they stick the -phobe suffix on it though, just because someone has expressed disapproval.

I think from now on, I will just start doing that myself with libtards:

“Stop being a petrolphobe.”
“Every time Sarah opens her mouth, your Palinphobe colors start showing.”
“Oh, you’re just a hoplophobe!” (*real word alert!*)
“I can see why you want to tax the rich so much. Clearly you are a successophobe.”

I thought you favored equality for gays including the right to marry or in the alternative the abolition of all legally recognized marriage?

Are you changing your tune?

Please do not be so shallow. I try to post that which I feel is of interest to conservatives. I don’t always agree with the angle taken by the authors of the postings. But, yes, I do favor allowing gays to marry, as long as the government and the gays can’t force what the government and the gays might someday deride as “Biblicalist” churches to perform the rump-reaming ceremonies. I’ve so posted several times herein. I want government out of religion, and religion out of government, as much as possible.

Please remember that the current government followed on to the churches and began “regulating” the act of marriage (as defined by God) later in time. Are regulations necessary? Yes. But marriage between two of the same sex is not how marriage is defined by God. Whatever you want to call same-sex whatever, please do not refer to it as marriage.
