You mean to tell me that obama does not want that toy for the Presidential Yacht?

Why not post the picture of a ship that most people don't know by its name?

Probably best that they get this thing out of the water now, and into the scrapyard as quickly as possible. If its been sitting around for four or five years, it is probably a nightmare of corrosion that even the manufacturer couldn’t repair, and nobody else is going to either.

What's interesting was that the Sea Shadow's test results did get applied to more modern ships. More recent classes of destroyers and frigates built for the US Navy now have special shapes to drastically reduce the radar cross section (RCS), and a number of foreign frigates have switched to low-observable designs based on what was learned from the Sea Shadow.

Would love to own a Popular Science cover vessel. Can’t find pics of the interior. Think they’d consider a trade for a 2002 Ford Windstar? It’s an SE and a real bute!

The Navy had hoped that a private buyer would come forward and take the spy ship off its hands. How much were they asking?

Considering it was a technology demonstration, and not an operational warship, no big deal. Any stealth tech materials are long gone. No weapon platforms, no other tech to be exploited. The external design features are not earth shaking to other countries interested in this stuff.
