In the end the airline is a private business and they can set rules or refuse service. I for one appreciate some civil rules and like that the airline didn’t back down.I wonder how many women were on that plane with halter tops? Or, men with shorts? Or women with short skirts? Or, boys with sweat pants on?
Where is the dress code for an airline posted?
US Airways website says "......Dress code We require that all passengers traveling on AD75 dress in casual business attire. US Airways gate agents are instructed to enforce this dress code, and passengers who fail to dress appropriately may be denied boarding........"
which means, of course, NO TUXEDOS, no formal funeral attire, and quite possibly NO SUITS.
Fur Shur "business casual" prohibits UNIFORMS.
Some of you folks might want to question US Airways about watsummata with uniforms?
