he thinks that churches should be open to gays and lesbians, period....he doesn't condone it, he calls it a sin....but its a difficult sin and how would God fearing people help those in sin except to open up the church to them.....afterall, God is the answer to our questions, isn't HE? That's all well and good but isn't the sinner told to stop the sinning and repent his/her sins and go forth and sin no more?! If the sinners were to do that then I believe they would be accepted and welcome. After all, practicing homosexuality is a sin isn't it?!
After all, the church is for the repentant sinner, which is what all saints are. It is not for the unrepentant sinner.....the world is their church.
The 'welcoming' attitude that's been sold to churches over the past several decades is thoroughly unscriptural and is actually satanic; it is a sign of the complete commercialization of Christianity, which demands high pressure marketing and the-customer-is-always-right attitudes. We can no longer say ANYTHING that might scare off a potential 'customer.'
And why would we, when our massive out-of-control building programs demand sources of steady income?
The Church no longer proclaims, it panders.
