Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan on Wednesday lambasted the U.N., the U.S., and the "coalition of demons" that he said makes up NATO, accusing them of trying to assassinate Moammar Gadhafi and promote regime change in Libya.
Farrakhan said the United Nations and its 15-member Security Council, who he referred to as "the terror council," have no legitimate right to exist for passing the resolution that has allowed NATO to take military action in Libya.
The Chicago-based Muslim clergyman, addressing a news conference a block from the U.N., defended his "brother leader Gadhafi" and praised his leadership of the North African country for more than four decades.
Farrakhan also encouraged Gadhafi to resist pressure for him to step aside.
"What has Moammar Gadhafi done to deserve what this united coalition of demons is putting on him?" Farrakhan said to murmurs of approval from his supporters. "They say he has lost the moral right (to rule) because he has killed his own people. But you have never proved that charge. Check the record." ....
The 78-year-old minister didn't spare President Obama, who he said is "surrounded by people who are Zionist-controlled or Zionist." He also criticized what he called the "arrogance" of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for "telling Africans what to do with Africa" when she met with regional leaders this week in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and urged Gadhafi's few remaining allies to sever ties with him.
Farrakhan said officials of the U.S., with its high rate of crime and poverty, had no right to judge whether Libya adheres to humanitarian principles.

Who cares what that whackjob says? Why isn’t he in jail?
Blame Obama, not the US...capiche?
Well he is criticising the UN and Obama, that is not all bad.
I’ll bet even Gaddafi makes jokes about how nuts Louie is.
Well, even a broken watch...
Go, Calypso Louie, go.
The problem he is right and our great leader is dead wrong.
I believe we need to launch Farrakhan at Gaddafi. Even it we don’t get a direct hit.
I find this split between BO and LF to be -very- interesting. Farrakhan is showing genuine anger and a sense of bewildered betrayal towards BO, or was earlier. BO would not give a damn about a European economic collapse for lack of oil, and would be positively giddy about the prospect of Europeans freezing in winter as their supply dwindles out.
So why is BO ramrodding the most clumsy hit job of the century so far?
My guess is it is at the behest of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Qaddafi’s cooperation in recent years cost them dearly. It might even be the penalty for whacking Osama.
Louie, Louie, Louie you lie.
Wow. I better check myself. I’m on the same side of an issue with Calipto Louie! Gulp!
As for why Obama is doing this... He got his marching orders from Soros. Plain and simple.
BO hasn’t gone back to the ol’ neighborhood since he left two years ago. Might be a reason. Just sayin’.
I also think it is very interesting. Farrakhan and other leftists have long supported Qaddafi. Qaddafi hates the West and the USA. Of late he has tempered that hatred.
So, Al-Qaeda, and other radical Islamic groups see an opportunity-attempt to take Qaddafi out for a variety of reasons. But the leftists advisors really want Qaddafi out because he is “no longer one of us.”
Farrakhan is living proof that you can dress well, speak clearly, be charismatic, a friend and advisor to a president, be a man of the cloth, and still be crazy as a loon.
Only in America, esp. Chicago or California (Jim Jones; the Flying Saucer cultists who killed themselves - “Heavensgate?”; Al Sharpton; Jesse Jackson; and Ed Schulz.)
” Al-Qaeda, and other radical Islamic groups see an opportunity-attempt to take Qaddafi”.... and without saying Obama is right in the midst of it aligning himself with our traditional enemies, and that’s just for today’s act. This muslim outreach / empowerment will affect tomorrow in a huge way.... just saying,
Obama has thrown us into harms way by using Americas resources for his pet project.... the caliphate.
