ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, an outspoken Republican with close ties to the tea party, announced Monday that she is running for president, a candidacy that could further shake up a volatile fight for the GOP nomination.
The first female contender to enter the 2012 race, Bachmann announced her bid during a Republican presidential debate in New Hampshire.

Yes, Go Michele!
She’s got more balls than the neutered RINO punks who’ve announced so far and Mitt too.
Yes!
Finally. She’s been my pick all along. I am telling you - she can win.
Most excellent. Now I’m excited for our chances of seeing some daylight at the end of this nightmare tunnel.
Me either. I might give her a second look if Sarah doesn’t get in...but right now..she is persona non grata in my book. I think she has been duped into running by the GOP elites and others to divide the Tea Party. Furthermore...I am sick of her rude peeps begging for money all the time. I told them to bugger off last week.
When a real leader surfaces and starts discussing the philosophical crossroads this Country faces, then I'll listen.
Right now it all sounds like political pomp and circumstance to me...I want to see some real Conservative spirit and not political grand standing.
This woman is an egomaniac and a bomb thrower. Period. She’s a backbencher with less experience than Obama had when he ran for president. The American public isn’t going to make the same mistake twice and vote for such a person.
Like her - dislike Rollins. It’s amusing that the only “gaffe” they mentioned was the swine flu thing. They could have mentioned her reference to 57 states, the “Austrian” language, or her joke about the Special Olympics. I wonder why no mention?
Bachman/Palin 2012!
Perhaps you can enlighten us who isn't?
In today's political climate, you have to question who would want the job.....it isn't about honor or duty to Country anymore, hasn't been for a long time.
Care to debate the issues she stands for or just want to throw bombs at her?
I think this is too bad. She might have been a good candidate down the line, after she proved herself and got some executive experience. But I think this is a mistake. Another potentially good candidate jumping in too soon, unable to wait for the right time.
Meantime, she has basically abandoned her job in congress, which was to organize and represent the conservative freshmen and put a little pressure on the RINOs who are still, unfortunately, running things. She has basically been AWOL this term, which is a great departure from her good work during her last term.
I used to view Bachmann as a dedicated conservative. Beginning with the “Tea Party Rebuttal” to the State of the Union, I started viewing Bachmann as a self-promoting opportunist.
“Bachman/Palin 2012!”

Do you honestly think Palin would take a backseat to someone with less experience?
I might have to disagree with Bachman’s ‘experience’ compared to Obama’s. My viking bengal kitty has more experience in leadership and conservatism than Obama or Bachman! She sits on my desk everyday watching every article and every key stroke...lol
Folks...Sarah is the real deal! Pray that she decides to run. She will do what is right for this country and root out corruption and graft on both sides...and in the MEDIA!!
