The first metal clad American bomber. That's how close we are to the dawn of the age of aviation. My father flew 50 missions in B-17's over Axis-controlled Europe. Even though he was a purebred Swede, he never liked cold weather after that. B-17's didn't have central heating, and it got damn cold at 23,000 feet.
