A big thing for emergency/rescue people is that in an accident these cars have a lot of electric current available for random encounters, plus, in a wreck, the battery electrolytes are free to burn skin, etc.
The electric cars are a hazmat crew's worst enemy.

Question : How “safe” are natural gas powered vehicles compared to gasoline powered ones if (God forbid) they were to meet an accident?
