No, he doesn’t. I looked up his history, and he’s a career politician with no real-life skills (which is actually fairly remarkable since he didn’t inherit his seat a la a Rockefeller or Kennedy). He’s also heavily in debt, so I think the reason he’s holding on is not because he thinks he didn’t do anything wrong, but because he’s going to end up in the poorhouse otherwise.
I think the DNC pay off his debts to get him to resign; would there be anything illegal about that?
