Some people seem to think that conserving the state's mineral resources and negotiating the best royalty agreement with the mining companies is something only a liberal would do.

The oil companies in Alaska had a sweetheart deal until they met up with Sarah Palin. She didn't take their campaign contribution bribes and she stood up for the people of her state.

I can't seem to fathom why so many Freepers think she did something wrong.

I agree with you she did nothing wrong, they keep trying though.

She did everything right. She stood for the best interests of her state and her constituents. That's her job!

And unlike so many of her predecessors, she was incorruptible.

By the same token, though, I have no problem with oil companies making profits, either. I gathered you did.
