I agree with what you are saying. She raised taxes on private business. Used the income to compliment a redistributive scheme that Alaska has been running for decades to pay every man, woman and child annual welfare payments from the permanent fund. In the meantime the higher gas and oil costs are passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices.
What am I missing here? Maybe someone can explain to me whether these monies were agreed upon royalty payments to the State for the oil or a separate tax.
