Matthews: Weiner in Trouble Because His Behavior Offends ‘Culturally Backward’ Christian Conservatives
What a disgusting piece of work this guy is. So does that mean that he thinks it's perfectly fine to photograph your private parts and send these pictures to women (and girls), while married to a pregnant wife? Does he think that the immature pathetic sexual banter this guy was texting is indicative of a thoughtful and serious congressman who should be making decisions that affect the future of our nation? Does he think having phone sex from a congressional phone line is OK?
What kind of message does he think this sends to the grade schoolers who take buses to the Capital each year to see ‘how Congress works’? This has nothing to do with what religion or denomination of said religion any of us identify with. It's also not about any of us holding ourselves up as ‘holier than thou’ and passing judgement on others. This is about the premise that there is right and wrong, and that we shouldn't reward people for doing wrong. Letting him continue to have the privilege of being a US Congressman, without consequence, is a very poor message to send, and speaks volumes about the current state of our society.
