Your heart either belongs to one person, or it does not.
Not complicated.
If your heart does not belong to one person, as long as you have not led someone else to believe it does - no problem.
If someone else believes your heart belongs to them, online flirting or any other form of cheating is beyond wrong, it is hurtful and selfish. Even evil.
Really it is one. Or the other. No gray area.
Fliting indicates an interest in establishing a relationship outside of marriage. If an individual is satisfied in a marriage, flirting will not occur. Some individuals may flirt without an intent to seek a relationship perhaps as an ego satisfaction exercise. I do not think that men or women would approve of flirting by their married partner. I am not sure if flirting by itself is cheating but it certainly will cause problems in the marriage if the other partner learns about the behavior.
Ask your spouse!
libs now stretching the definition of flirting beyond recognition.
If you wouldn’t do it in front of your wife/girlfriend, it’s cheating, IMHO.
The kind of “flirting” alleged is definitely “cheating” as far as I’m concerned.
online flirting constitutes cheating perverted and abnormal behavior, by Weiner, directed towards children.
Get the amoral pervert out of office. We don't need him making laws for the rest of us to follow. We need someone of good moral fiber, which Weiner has none of. Enough said.
Definition of FLIRT
2a : to behave amorously without serious intent
Definition of CHEAT
2 : to be sexually unfaithful usually used with on

So: Is it cheating if there is no serious intent to carry through?
Is what Weiner did really flirting?
I believe I read somewhere today that Twitter [Internet] use of members of Congress is suddenly down. ;)
I read it also. Does this mean that there are more perverts in congress?
No, more like long distance foreplay.
No, it’s not technicaly cheating. But, I am confident that it will lead to cheating.
Regarding our youth, though? *sigh* - I expect you're dead on.
[for the record - I'm daring only those who think this practice is okay to ask their 'Significant Other' about the practice. My prior comment wasn't directed at anyone in particular; certainly not our original poster]
