If the democrats want him out so badly, then we should want him to stick around. An arrogant, wounded sex pervert would be the ultimate albatross around the democrats’ collective political neck in 2012, and having him still representing his district in 2012 would give us a realistic chance of actually winning the district.
If he resigns now he will 100% guaranteed be replaced by another democrat, an unsullied democrat fresh and ready for a fight, and any references to Weiner’s misdeeds will be seen as mean-spirited.

But I don’t know that there’s anything we can do about it. When the Rats want somebody in their inner circle gone, they’re like the Mafia. The only way Weiner stays I think, is if he alone takes on the entire Dem party... which would definitely add another round of awesome entertainment.
