If the conservative cannot win the primary, he's even less likely to win the general election.
A Tea Party third-party run would generally mean that the Dem would win. As such, it should be reserved for those cases where the Repub nominee is such a RINO that you would prefer the Dem to win, rather than contaminate the Republican caucus with another RINO.

The Republican party establishment is even more out of touch with main street America than the Dems. At least they are smart enough to pay lip service to their constituents. This guy comes out with implied threats.
We've come to a time when we have to decide whether we are conservatives or Republicans, as the two obviously are not the same thing. A Romney nomination will bring this to a head and he will cause the Republican party to go the way of the Whigs.
