Yes, there is an explanation. Weiner is sick. Emotionally and functionally sick. Another narcissist who has a problem restraining himself from engaging in activities that are irresponsible and immoral. He is sorry for the moment, but only because he is facing the firing squad now. Tomorrow, like all narcissists, he will believe it is all over and everyone should forget it. The man needs some real help on the psychiatrist's couch.
