The MSM are some of the least educated people in business. They are consistently awful in their knowledge the extends beyond the churning out a of delivery vehicle for Dillard’s bra ads.
For years I have said that. The MSM is staffed with journalism majors. They didn't focus on history, science, economics, business, etc. Recent journalism graduates spent/and spend their time writing stories that are meant to sensationalize, convince, manipulate, or alienate the readership...depending on the political agenda of the writer. It is not reporting, with factual information...it is fiction disguised as news. Or, it is their attempt to craft news out of nonsense. Whichever, today's staff in the media have spent little time learning anything else. They are basically empty barrels who make the most noise and who spend little time actually researching and discovering the truth because deadlines loom and they are always in a race to be the first with a story. No matter how incomplete or untrue the story might be.
It was a ploy that worked 50 or more years ago when the population was not accustomed to doing their own research. Writing down to the level of sixth graders worked before the masses also graduated from colleges - many with superior degrees in more difficult or challenging subjects -and whose intelligence was at least equal to, if not more impressive than their own.
Today's media writers are stuck back in the 40's and 50's. As are their professors in college. They have not caught up to the astute awareness of their readership. And the American viewers and readership are not swallowing their pap hook, line, and sinker as we once did. We learned something in college, too. We learned to analyze, evaluate, and digest information...rather than accept as fact some poorly written, slanted, adjective-strewn hit piece that today's journalists call "reporting."
