My grandpa died at 80, after 57 years of marriage. My grandma sold the farm, moved to town, bought a little scooter and started running around with the other old ladies, wearing pants and playing cards and God only knows what other debauchery. She had a grand old time for about 15 years.... I guess I’m on the wrong thread. ;^)

Perhaps some people become so inter-dependent that life without the other holds no attraction?
I'm pretty sure it is the rarity of these twinned deaths that makes it news.
