One always learns something. For years I had known of the poem by Longfellow. A stirring tribute to Paul Revere. One that could only give a few facts. Only yesterday there was a thread about this on FR. It is most important to read the letter to Jeremy Belknap by Paul Revere. Since it was written in 1798, there was no attempt to varnish the account. Five officers of His Majesties forces had intercepted Revere and his two compatriots. Something I never knew until now.

It is likely that Revere on having a pistol clapped to his head, by a flinty eyed British major, was indeed warning him. The adventures of his fellow horsemen are not generally known. That is a story in it's self. The warning was not to aid the major and his redcoats to prepare, but to expect a hot reception. This they got.

Sarah Palin was essentially right. Hopefully her inspired cross country trip is not taking a toll on her health. She is giving the liberals fits.

I completely agree. The untold story is the vast number of Americans that are learning about Paul Revere and the events of April 19, 1775. Thanks to Sarah and her bus tour they'll learn more as the tour continues.

If the media ever figures out that by covering the tour they're playing right into Sarah's wheelhouse, why, their heads will explode! LOL!
