Christ was perfect.
Haley’s tone here sounds suspect.
Is Christ running for office?
Haley's tone here sounds suspect.
Haley's not saying anything that isn't OBVIOUS. Rush has described it as "the perfect as the enemy of the good."
I've already seen it here among comments saying, for example, "If Palin isn't the nominee I'm staying home." Others want to apply an unconstitutional religious test to Bachmann over her Lutheran Synod, or the Catholics or the Mormons running.
Speaking of Sarah Palin, in the recent Greta bus interview she was asked specifically whether Santorum's social conservatism was a winning message. Palin dodged the question as posed and said a fiscal conservative message is a winning message.
Does that make her a RINO or does she get a pass? I didn't see it come up on the thread for that interview so I guess she gets a pass. Most other candidates would not be so fortunate.
It's important to coalesce behind the most conservative leading candidate available rather than to divide the vote by quibbling over shades of conservative credentials. Some aren't satisfied with a person who governed or voted conservatively but want a social activist instead.
I have no pick for that spot right now but I assume the best electable "Romney alternative" has not announced yet. If the field is set, I see trouble ahead for conservatives.
