those places which were adorned with trees and pleasant gardens, were now become desolate country every way, and its trees were all cut down. Nor could any foreigner that had formerly seen Judaea and the most beautiful suburbs of the city, and now saw it as a desert, but lament and mourn sadly at so great a change.

Parts stayed that way for a long time. Reminiscent of Tel Aviv, 1909 vs 2011.

Although certainly aided by constant Roman pounding, the tunnels may have contributed to the walls’ collapse by undermining their otherwise solid foundation.

Perhaps something to ponder here.

This Titus (Semple)could have just arrested them if he wasn't a corrupt cop in Flamingo Road.

The land of Israel flourished for 1500 years.

Suddenly there was a horrible drought for 1800 years.

Just as suddenly the drought ended and the rain returned.

For the 1800 years of drought there were destructive earthquakes.

The earthquakes ended as the rain returned.

As the Jews began to return to their Land,
the rain began as suddenly
as it ended 1800 years before.

Interesting...I did not know that the zealots were mostly from Galilee.

Sheds new light for me on Jesus' ministry in Galilee and the political dynamics of what he encountered growing up in Nazareth.
