My local (pro-socialist) paper just ran a lengthy article explaining that congress didn’t actually set out to outlaw incandescants - they just defined energy standards (for our own benefit of course).

And it just happens that the lowly incandescant doesn’t meet those standards.

Who knew?

Representative Fred Upton: “The last thing we wanted to do was infringe upon personal liberties”

That’s why he introduced a bill that does that very thing. And that is why Congress has been eroding personal liberty year in and year out since the days of Woodrow wilson.

Yep. I view Woodrow Wilson as the real start of it. That despicable statist do-gooder was a pox on our country, and the pustules are bursting now.

I hate having to look at his damned face every time I pull a dime out of my pocket.
