A couple of times we have rented motor homes which have loudly advertised on the side of the vehicle and guess what, there were American flags involved too. Good grief.

Under standards of respect and etiquette, it's made clear that the flag of the United States should never be used for any advertising purpose whatsoever. Maybe that's why Zero refused to wear a lapel flag early in his '08 campaign?
