Hope she and her family enjoy the visit to Ellis Island. My youngest son and I went there in the 90’s. It was where my father, his two brothers and my grandparents were processed when they came to this country from Holland in 1912.

My grandpop came from Ireland (Northern Ireland, now) in 1920, and several of his siblings earlier. My parents and brother and cousins have been there, but I haven’t been Up North since the early 80s, before Ellis Island was opened to the public.

“Palin’s highly secretive Northeast tour...”

LMAO!
About as secret as a nuclear missile.
Thanks of course to the fussy queers in the media working themselves up in a frenzy over the possibility of a Palin Presidency, the consequent strengthening of traditional American values, and what that would mean for their Communism, perversion and anti-Americanism.

Both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are fascinating to visit (I have). Once again, Sarah Palin is confounding the media buy not playing the political game they and Republican elites contend that she must play. She is proving them wrong while leading the leftmedia around by the nose and forcing them to notice some of the historical sights that help define American exceptionalism. Sarah Palin is also framing her (possible) candidacy in terms of her love and respect for America and it's history. This is in sharp contrast to Obama, who disparages that history and who clearly has no respect for America. Palin is staking out her claim to the presidency in a very original, clever and effective way. I'm not really surprised but I am delighted.

It’s really killing them that they don’t have any snitches feeding them info about her tour. They have their government leakers so they can print top secret info, but they can’t find anyone to leak her whereabouts to them. LOL!!

Actually, I think this is interesting.
Palin meeting Trump? I’d like to be a fly on the wall at that conversation.

Comparing the coverage of this Palin family trip with what Congressman Weiner has to deal with in New York — what a contrast!
The Republicans look good telling the truth!

Our trip turned out to be helpful in my quest for family info. I knew the name of the ship my father had arrived on, and the date the ship had docked, but what I discovered at Ellis Island was that it was a ship of the Holland America line, and they even had an old postcard of it. I was later able to contact Holland America headquarters, and they sent me historical info and a photo of a painting of the the original ship (MS Ryndam). They also sent me info and photos of two subsequent ships that bore the name MS Ryndam II and III.

This could be an opportunity for her to clearly frame her opinion on the illegal immigration problem in unambiguous terms. I hope she takes advantage of it.

I would like to be a fly on that wall too. Call me crazy, but I think there is a little friendship going on between Palin and Trump.I have thought that ever since Palin was asked about Trump and his calling into question the BC and I don't remember Palin’s exact comment, but she said Trump was A friend, a good guy, one of us??? or something friendly.

Blowing zzzzs about Romney or Cain?
To: mass55th
That was awfully kind of the company. My grandfather came over in steerage, but his sister-in-law, wife of his brother who was already in the US, had enough money to pay 2nd class fare, and she didn’t have to go through Ellis Island processing. My parents learned that when they visited and didn’t find Aunt Martha in the E.I. records.
She was still a British subject when she died in the 1990s, something over 100 years old.
