OK, looking at that picture of the kid-perpetrator, it is pretty clear that this had nothing to do with Sharia, and everything to do with him being a LOSER that had been rejected by every pretty female, probably including the victim. Sharia just gives some sort of demented moral justification for hating women.

Plausible. Behind a lot of Islamic jihadists is not so much the Koran and religious commitment, but rather, sexual frustration, and social rejection, and / or hatred of what is common in the West (dating, standard relations between men and women, ability for men to enjoy women and vice versa) which in no way can they have--not even a dream of it--but then the temptation of Western movies, and you know what videos and that imagery, surging youth hormones, anger/unemployment, and BLAM!, they are all ready to strap on a vest and blow themselves up in some market someplace just because of their inability to "score".

(Sorry if I put it in crass, base fraternity house terms)....
