George Will: Everyone Knows Sarah Palin Should Not Be Trusted With Nuclear Weapons
Mediate ^ | Sunday May 29, 2011 | Matt Schneider

With Sarah Palin fever sweeping across the media again, persistent Palin critic and conservative commentator George Will clearly was not excited by the speculation surrounding her potential run for President. Donna Brazile, Jonathan Karl and Ed Gillespie joined in on the conversation, yet Will had the most pointed remarks regarding how Palin is a “genius at manipulating” the infinite media attention she receives.

Christiane Amanpour began the segment commenting “no one steals a show like Sarah Palin,” and while Will admits she will have a huge impact on the nomination process if she does decide to run, he still dismisses the idea that she has even the slightest chance of winning. Will suggests Palin’s problem:

“The threshold question, not usually asked, but it’s in everyone’s mind in a presidential election. ‘Should we give this person nuclear weapons?’ And the answer [in Palin's case], answers itself.”

Exactly.

Reagan was widely accused of being reckless and likely to start World War III.

Turns out ... he prevented it.

These old establishment, inside the beltway, Republicans will have to be rotated out of influence.

Everybody at least knows George Will should not be trusted with nuclear weapons; as evidenced by the fact that he hasn’t ever been elected to anything.

George Will is n life member of the Washington D.C. Beltway elite. These folks think politics is just a game - and they love big government. They believe they are far more intelligent than almost anyone who watches, listens to or reads their commentary. They are also spectacularly wrong about Sarah Palin. Septuagenarian George Will is sort of a dean of Washington political pundits because he’s been around for so long. He can write well but George is often mistaken in his analysis and predictions. For an intellectual elitist such as George Will, Sarah Palin, who is not an attorney, doesn’t have an ivy league degree, was raised in Alaska and is without any pretense to the pseudo-sophistication most politicians like to adopt, must seem like an unwelcome, uncouth gate-crasher to the Beltway party that is the 2012 presidential election. His sneering, condescending comments are very off-putting and for me, renders his political opinions mostly useless. I have absolutely no intention of allowing old nerds with a superiority complex to choose the 2012 GOP presidential candidate. Not this time, George. You are dismissed.

Bowtie is way to tight, no brain activity.
Look, I would trust Sarah with the Football long before the current Quarterback.

The same thing was said of Ronald Reagan.

Abb...

And is Will telling us Obama is fit to handle the Football?

Really "Mr Will"?

Will is so apoplectic that he is comparing Sarah to Goldwater via the Johnson, "In your guts you know he's nuts" defense.

I didn't know Will was a Johnson Democrat...

My G_d how low our intelligentsia and Leaders like Newt have sunk.

Once upon a time, before the internet came along, many conservatives (and I’m ashamed to admit I was one) actually were influenced by what Will said and wrote.

But not for some years, now...

Just another bow-tie wearing, liberal, beltway elitist. Poor Georgie would miss scads of invitations to the “RIGHT” DC/New York cocktail parties if he failed to say something nasty about Palin. His ego and “legitimacy” couldn’t BEAR that!!!!

We currently have a commie CIC of questionable background with muslim sympathies and they are worried that Sarah Palin could have her finger on the button? This isn’t a news item, it’s a clown car going in circles on the DC beltway.

And what you just posted is spot on! Does Will actually trust obama and biden with nuclear weapons?

The guy is a typical smary New England Rockefeller republican. As long as people like him are in the GOP I’ll be voting elsewhere.
