Should you do a system recovery, as in post #34, then see post #63. After the recovery it will look as though you've lost all your data, like the stuff you keep in My Documents, but you probably haven't.

I didn't understand what you meant at first. But I just went and looked, and I don't find any old data.

I'm surprised. And I still think it's probably there somewhere. Doing a search for all or part of the title of some old documents should reveal any hiding places.
