This is BS!
The 2 tugs made the decision to change people;s lives that day, not Ersland.
How anyone could come to thins conclusion is beyond me.
God help this nation.

I’m thinking the perp didn’t look too bad at first.

Isn’t first degree murder planned out. Can’t see the druggist planning this.

What? Please tell me that theres way more to this story...I just read the article. I guess I can kinda see where the jurors had a really hard time coming to this decision.

Customarily, and this is weird as well, the dead Antwun’s (and it is always an ‘Antwun’, isn’t it?) accomplice gets charged with murder. What happened here? Are the French (’Antwun’) a protected class now?

This is bullchit! The scumbag went to rob with a gun and got dead in the process, the guy deserves a medal!

The second robber, Jevontai Ingram, then 14, fled. Ingram pulled out a gun inside the pharmacy but did not fire it, according to testimony. He was caught days later. He has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for his role in his friend's death. He will be released from a juvenile detention facility before his 19th birthday if he completes a treatment plan. This perp will be out in 5 years.

Earlier this month, another jury convicted the two men who planned the drugstore robbery of first-degree murder. That jury decided Emanuel D. E Man Mitchell, 33, and Anthony D. Black Morrison, 45, should spend life in prison. The two talked the teenagers into doing the robbery and waited nearby in getaway cars. There is some justice here.

Why wasn’t the surviving perp charged with felony murder?

Are we talking about the same drugstore?

I read the article... and it’s too bad that the defendant turned out to be so squishy with the truth. He didn’t help his case any to lie about things. But in no way do I see a murder charge here. So what if he fired five more times after the initial head shot? Big deal... it didn’t make the perp any deader.
So what, too, that the perp that was shot had no gun of his own. The other perp did, and he was just faster on his feet. If I see a gun, both perps are fair targets, and I’m going to keep firing until I’m sure the threat is gone.
This is a gross injustice.

I guess no one say the previous posts in which the sweet gang banger was a victim of circumstance.

That explains it better. I’d still have a hard time convicting on 1st degree murder if I was on that jury. It was a heat of the moment thing and not premeditation, but I guess the execution-style aspect is what made it 1st degree.

Antwon and Jevontai, a Frenchaman and a Finn. What a strange combination. Truly, America is a melting pot, ain’t you proud?
