People need to chill. It has already come out earlier that she would not speak politics at this event. It is supposedly a non political event.
They don’t seem to be uneasy about her participation, they are just uneasy about people attaching it to the bus tour and politics or an endorsement.

I’ve never heard a “political speech” given there.
The speakers usually pay homage to the here and gone military, remind people how many have never ‘come home’ and just generally have a lot of former/current military personnel and often, ‘stars’ speak.
I wish I’d been there to hear John Amos give his speech.

People only see the riders as they’re on their way, waving and smiling to the cheering crowds.
Believe me, once you get to the wall and see the vets there, sadly touching carved names, leaving momentos and crying openly or silently, you don’t have much to smile about any more.
The first time I went, it totally tore me up.
