That’s like Colenol Mustard saying, “You consider someone with a candlestick a criminal.”

Out of context, no, it is legal to own a border control hat, even an official one. (And I did find on the internet that they did find such a hat.)

Out of context, the guns are also no indicator of criminality. Or the body armor. Or is the photo of Jesus Malverde. Or the stashes of cash. Or the fact that someone had been posing as a law enforcement officer to raid neighborhood homes. I was perfectly inclined to believe that even the fact that he was pointing a gun at a SWAT team was simply a foolish decision that resulted in a tragedy. Or that his wife hadn’t meant to make false statements to the police when she claimed that they hadn’t run a siren.

Any one of these could just be happenstance.

Together, it doesn’t look good.
