The Pima County Sheriff's Department released a video Thursday that shows a SWAT team shooting into a suspect's house. He died after being shot 60 times.
Jose Guerena, 26, was shot and killed May 5 when Pima County authorities served a search warrant on his home.
The Sheriff's department says five SWAT team members fired more than 70 rounds in less than 10 seconds after the former Marine pointed an assault rifle at officers. His wife contends the family thought the officers were robbers. He was shot 60 times

As far as the shouting, I couldn't understand WHAT they were saying. I doubt if someone in the house would have either.
The Marine went from asleep to figuring out what his wife was saying, assuming a defensive position, and telling her to take cover - all in 17 seconds. He had his safety on while he was assessing the threat.
Well done Marine!
If “procedures” cause him to be killed under these circumstances, then the procedures suck. A reasonable man acting in a reasonable fashion should not be murdered in his own house by police in that fashion.
Shame on you for sticking up for this trash.
They say they used a SWAT team to serve the search warrant because they expected the suspect to armed.
If I read the article correctly, that was after he was dead.
Neither would the cops.. 30 seconds I buy, but 30 minutes? Not a snowballs chance in hell, not ever would a SWAT Team stand at anyones door for 30 minutes...

The wife said she saw the police through her window, and the police saw her. Is that indicated on the videotape? Perhaps that’s why they took more time.
Berlin when those who are being investigated are being investigated by their own how do you think it will turn out?
I am pretty pro-cop. But this case doesn’t pass the smell test. I have relatives that are officers or retired officers and they protect their own period.
I am willing to give the swat benefit of the doubt to a point, but blindly trusting that city hall will do the right thing, not happening.
Trust but verify.
Its not indicated on the video, but alot of what the SWAT Team claims happened isn’t on the video.
This was a murder under color of law, these cops need to be jailed and the widow should sue for multiple millions.
At some point the people will grow tired of Gestapo style tactics such as these... and the backlash will be epic.
It'll turn out the same way it always does... the only bodies who have the tacit authority to investigate themselves are Congress and US Law Enforcement... two stellar institutions if there ever was one...
The video is incomplete and altered. An unedited video, and more complete audiotapes exist. What's important is that the facts come out.
According to your own assessment of the video - That is the only 5 seconds these people could claim they thought it was a home invasion. That is definitely not enough time to grab a gun and be stationed in the hallway.
Before that, what you have is a "car alarm" according to you and unrecognizable mumbling sounds at the door, again according to you.
Thank you for clearing the SWAT Team in this matter. I was waiting for the investigations to be completed but you have persuaded me the police were not at fault.
Didn’y have enough time to figure out it was a home invastion, but had enough time to grab a gun and take up a stance against the police?
Hey, read the wife’s statement. He didn’t own an AR-15.
Murderers and a cover-up.
You MUST be a cop because you are such a liar, it's 17 seconds, bootlicker.
Do you really think that so many others would be willing to lie and put themselves at risk of being locked up to do a bunch of “murderers” a favor?
Man this stuff really is predictable.
Read the wife’s statement, Sherlock.
Before that all they must have heard was “a car alarm” and mumbling at the door.
You just proved the cops innocent. Be proud.
You probably missed it because you were all sexually aroused seeing those thugs in their combat gear.
People don't think “home invasion” because they hear a car alarm and talking on the street.
Again thank you for clearing the matter up, which favors the police.
I am forwarding your observations to the investigations via email. Good job!
