Not a troll at all. The argument is that non-gays, not romantically involved, not wanting or able to marry, could form a sort of partnership. Elderly friends or siblings, for example.

In fact, maybe they can do that right now.

The original point, of course, was that this idea is not inherently anti-conservative.

ALL STATES already allow adults to form legal partnerships and corporations. A person can be a partner in as many partnerships as they want and a shareholder in as many corporations as they want. There is NOTHING that bars homosexuals from this. Check with an attorney, they can tell you what you need to do.

Homosexuals can get married now, they always have.

Creating some sort of new right of homosexual marriage IS NOT conservative.
