Well, unless those two are part of the homosexual agenda, they’ll keep their yaps shut. If they don’t, they’re not conservatives.

[Well, unless those two are part of the homosexual agenda, they’ll keep their yaps shut. If they don’t, they’re not conservatives. ]

I am talking about the minority of the minority who don’t think they should be making public displays of their sexuality in public and keep their business between consenting adults behind closed doors on their own property and away from any minors. One who have finally woken up to the fact that big government once setup can become a tool that could be used in the future against them. By my estimations due to the homosexual political agenda running rampant in this country there are like two of them in the whole country.

I have a funny story, I have a friend who is a homosexual who is finally starting to wake up to the fact that Obama is cashing checks he cannot cover. I had an exchange with her that went something like this:

Me: So what do you think of all these czars and regulatory agencies that Obama is putting in place?

Her: Well I think some of them are a good idea.

Me: So you like a Government that is more involved in the personal lives of the governed?

Her: Yes, as long as it is for the public good and helps with the promotion of public health.

Me: So “as long as it is public good” and if it is not mis-used, then you are ok with increasing the role of the government like Obama has?

Her: Yes, and I think the Democrats are doing a good job of making things better.

Me: So what happens with all this machinery that Obama has put into place with out any protest from the Main Steam media or the “Liberty Loving Democrats”? What happens if a “Ultra Hard Right Republican” gets put into the white house? Won’t those same tools you once lauded as the best thing as sliced bread be used against you?

Her: I don’t think that could ever happen.

Me: That is what is said many times in history, when you give the government extra power it keeps wanting more and more and before too long the same bureaucracies that were setup to help a group of people are ultimately used against it.

Her: Well I guess we have to worry about the Tea Party.

Me: Not as much as your liberal friends would have you think, The Tea Party stands for limited government meaning they don’t want the government, especially the Federal government telling them what they can and cannot eat, drink, smoke, or do behind their own closed doors. They may not agree morally with how you live your life but they will not be for putting in place government mechanisms in place to tell you what you and a consenting adult do behind your own closed doors.

Her: Well I am just worried what would happen is someone like Fred Phelps was elected president.

Me: You really think people on the Conservative Right are all alike Fred Phelps? Every conservative I know has great disdain for Fred Phelps because he is a complete lunatron. But assuming you scenario came true, the power grabs by the Democrats to give unelected regulatory agencies more power would be disastrous to homosexuals. Don’t you understand that you gave the keys to the country to someone who may not be there in the future? Don’t you realize that one of the things that concerns conservatives is that by giving the federal government more power you diminish the inherent rights of people to chose their own destinies in the name of “the public good”. The Public good was used to justify the sterilization of people in the 1920’s and 30s. Once the power is given away the “Public good” can be used and HAS been used to justify atrocities that are horrendous in scope. It may seem like a good idea now, but those are seeds that grow the weeds of your own destruction.

Her: ......(stunned silence)

I don’t know if I got her to think, but I did give her something to think about. LOL.

Some here may think it is useless to argue with someone so entrenched, but I view it as good verbal training, plus when you can get a lib to think it is both a scary thing and a beautiful thing as it is like watching someone use muscles they haven;t used in years, they walk away muttering “ow, ow, owie” under their breath, and that is delicious.

What does being a conservative mean to you, Jim?

I’ve often wondered it. I think this is a great time for you to share with your members what kind of conservative should be a member at FR.
