We were watching the weather reports because of a huge grass fire that was on the edge of Midland and neighborhoods being evacuated, 1st son and family came to our house because the fire was close and smoke infiltrating their home, when we saw the tornadoes in Dallas and then heard about some in Kansas not far from 2nd son and his family. Niece in Ft. Worth I haven't heard from yet.

I'm exhausted from concern for my family members and don't know if I can sleep tonight.

I recall living in that part of the world (DeSoto) and being constantly wakened by the weather radio. I just saw something on the twitter feed about a tornado on the ground at I20 and I45 in Dallas.

I’ve been listening to updates all night. Denton never got any of this, from what I heard. Not mentioned once.

Prayers for you! It’s hard to deal with all of this. My sis in law sent me the article about the Midland fire too (she’s from Midland and we used to also live there and we still have family there too).

I pray all your family is ok. Things have died down and hopefully will be ok now. They’ll watch for outbreaks again. This fire was too close for comfort.

I just got back home from my 23rd floor office in downtown Dallas. Not much wind or rain there, but security ordered everyone into the stairwell for about 30 minutes. We ignored them of course (other than a two minute stint).
Was surprised to see a few downed trees outside the building.

I have a hard time remembering where everything is in Midland now, we’ve been gone from there since 1993 and only back for a few visits. Did it burn any homes?

Golf ball size hail here NE of FTW. Love my concrete tile roof. Never lets me down. Lost one skylight. Branches everywhere but no trees down anywhere on the property.

Everyone else okay around DFW?

This was the one I saw on the twitter feed. BTW if you go to google and put in something like #tornado and then click realtime you can see the twitter feed (if you didn’t already know that) and see what people are saying. Sometimes you get good info.
