I’m guessing the date is more a Freudian issue. He’s finding 2011 harder and harder to handle, so his subconscious is casting back to a better time. 2008 was the year of unquestioning adulation and hero-worship. Barry wishes he was there again. His gaffe couldn’t be any clearer—it was an, ‘I’m so screwed in ‘11, let’s set the clock back three years’ moment for sure.
Otoh, I’m also guessing his brain is misfiring on other fronts as well. He’s got an addictive-dysfunctional disorder, and he’s feeding the beast somehow. By some accounts he’s overdone it on the alcohol. I’m betting some of his inner circle procures other mind altering substances as well. He openly admitted to using cocaine, and he’s been a long time heavy smoker. These things add up.
If Barry has many, or even any, off-teleprompter moments as ‘12 approaches, it could spell disaster for him. He stumbled all over the place in the past, when he didn’t have his little screens to help him along. It will will almost certainly only get worse in the future. If the GOP can avoid splitting the party with a total loser, there’s no way Barry can win a second term, imho.
I think he’s had a “psychic break” from reality and it may be permanent. It’ll be hard to use against him w the msm covering his every move. He could gaffe a day and it wouldn’t be important to them. He’s starting to make biden look intelligent.
