As readers are likely aware, former Vermont governor Howard Dean is a contributor to CNBC, and in this role, he continues to say the darnedest things.

On Monday's "The Last Word," Dean said of the far-right, "They hate Muslims, they hate gays, they hate immigrants, and the rhetoric in the primaries shows that" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

HOWARD DEAN, CNBC: Let’s look at what these guys are doing. The far-right is what I call the Hate Wing of the Republican Party. They’re over-represented in primaries, and of course when elections come along, they generally don’t win. But they can cause enormous trouble in the primaries. They hate Muslims, they hate gays, they hate immigrants, and the rhetoric in the primaries shows that.

Honestly, is this the kind of talk Comcast and General Electric should tolerate from someone on their payroll?

seriously, i agree with you!
and i don’t hate Muslims (hate the sin, not the sinner), i do hate a “religion” that kills gays, oppresses and abuses women, and by definition wants to otherthrow and replace our government.

...so Dean condemns us as haters, but Dean supports the right of Muslims to kill gays, Jews, and do honor-killing of women who become to “westernized” ?

You're right Howie, ya got me. I hate all of those people.

I Hate Muslims. Except that in my 41 years in Commercial Construction and having dealt with people of all religions, or no religion -- Muslims Have Been The Most Honorable. And they pay the quickest and without nitpicking over any Invoice amount. Ergo, I must 'hate them'.
And yes, I hate Gays. Except that one of my very oldest friends who now lives in Arizona with 'his friend' is GAY. He calls me every year on my birthday and we talk for about an hour. And last year for Christmas he called me again to talk. Dam, do I ever 'hate him'.
And 'Immigrants', grrrrrrr, wow! ... do I ever hate THEM. Except that our youngest daughter's boyfriend is an 'immigrant' from Poland and whose now a US Citizen. But he must be really stupid because he went through all the right channels and DIDN'T break any laws. So it took him years to become a U.S. citizen --- the stupid IMMIGRANT! I HATE HIM!!!
Oh wait. You don't mean European 'Immigrants' do you Howie? Nooooooo, you mean 'Hispanics'. Well I HATE them too! Except for the fact that I have a half-sister in Colorado whose mother was an 'immigrant' from Mexico. Dang, do I ever HATE THEM!!! (wait? how can one hate your half-sister? that doesn't make sense Howie.)

So you got me on all three Howie, except you're 100% WRONG, ya nitwit!

I do not hate muslims... I hate islam... muslims are people... islam is a death cult political system. It is ok to hate something like that... now I despise most muslims... just to be upfront... but I do not hate them. The only way to explain dean is insanity.
