I am so mixed-up now, I don’t know precisely what time our Hero is speaking, but I’m not leaving this thread!
He’s not my hero, but I have a great deal of respect for the man.
Let me clarify: he’s a hero, but not my hero. I know I am TOTALLY over analyzing this, but there is a major difference in the implied message between “a hero” and “my hero.”
And my clarification here is completely irrelevant to anything else said on this thread, you probably don’t care, and I don’t blame you at all for rolling your eyes at me. I just REALLY wanted to differentiate on the two forms of usage because it popped into my head. And it amused me. Feel free to ignore this post. ;-)
