No, and I hope this thread goes 20,000 posts.
Mitt of this election is like Rudy of the last. He is the one all the talking heads expected to be a shoe-in, he raised all the money, and was ahead in all the polls- BUT, when it came down to votes, he couldn’t carry any states, voters just didn’t trust him.
This time four years ago, we were told we would have seen a Hillary vs. Rudy race and no one else stood a chance.
We didn’t before and we won’t again.
Sounds like something Jim Robinson would write.
I approve of that. ;-)
Here is another.
Well I would hope that after the Schwarzenegger fiasco people on here will have learned their lesson about “making a deal with the Devil”
As much as I detest 0bama, if Romney is running against him, I might forget to vote...
No, nor do I expect you to allow the Democrats to choose our candidate! They want Mitt, they can run him as a Dem!
If you do, I'm out of here ... and from the sound of it, I'll take one of the people I truly respect, Mr. Jim Thompson, with me.
Do not vote, vote the the lesser or two evils, create a third option with possibly not a chance? I dunno, and I hate the way the media is trying to push things in the way they want, as always. They did that all too well with McQueeg, and that got us nowhere.
A lot of us thought the MSM hold on the news cycle had been broken, and the truth about candidates would now be possible. Tragically, it looks like the same old sh!t sandwich is about to be served up once again.............
OF COURSE
I expect you to continue to fight such things, Jim.
What concerns me is that a major chunk of the GOP has always deceptively, slickly, RINO-ly sabotaged our shared conservative values right and left—particularly at key points and key moments.
Rockefeller was not the first or only one. McChurian will not be the last.
I’m a bit concerned that you may not realize how insidiously pervasive such evils have soaked into the GOP.
In most respects, they have increasingly behaved as merely the good cop of a good-cop/bad-cop con game.
It seems to me that FR needs to have some alternative strategies or at least not be caught with our drawers down—totally shocked and unprepared—if—as seems HIGHLY likely—the top two political parties will YET AGAIN hand us the worst and 2nd worst of two weasels.
Or more troubling . . . what if the GOP hands us a RINO in Conservative white-wash? How would we know until too late?
I can’t speak for FR, but as for me, NO!
For example . . .
I’m glad Trump has harrassed othuga.
However, Trump is as much of a socialist/liberal/communist/globalist
in some key respects . . . as Rockefeller, imho.
I certainly don’t trust him.
It appears as though the liberal “media” has chosen the GOP’s candidate again and it’s Mitt. Looks like I’ll be writing in Palin/Cain. I’m tired of hearing so called “republicans” saying this candidate or that candidate is “too conservative.” We’ve got a fascist Marxist sitting in the Oval Office who is so extreme that he slid off the scale!
Romney needs to be shut down now. He is flying under the radar while dopes like Trump and Gingrich put on their circus acts. Next week Johnson will be in the headlines for some ridiculous reason and Myth will be quietly fundraising and just trying to outlast everyone else with that cash. The word needs to get out about his Progressive BS.

If this hack gets the nomination, I hope I have the intestinal fortitude to stay out of the voting both considering I will be staring down the barrel of 4 more years of Obummer.
I’ll be really brazen. What is holding the vast majority of Americans from taking physical action? Protestantism. And I consider myself a Protestant, although a poor one at that. Protestants have to have someone tell them it’s ok to take the necessary physical kill or be killed action, otherwise they’re not really Christians.
That’s one thing I have to give to Catholics. They have a leader who can say enough is enough. Protestants don’t, unless you consider the secular government the leader of the Protestants, which it really is, or was.
Christians in general have made self-defense into a Gordian Knot that they can’t unravel let alone cut.
We need to love each other like Jesus, after all he ate and drank w sinners. So he did. But he also made it clear that he had enemies and would deal w them and did deal w them in the terms of his limited engagement. When he comes back he won’t be so nice. Has his nature changed? No, only his task. Protestants have become one side of a coin, which is blind to their God given ability to defend themselves. They’ve become unable to defend themselves and I don’t think that’s biblical. We’re being pushed into a holocaust corner and most Protestants are going to end up the same way as WWII Jews. We used to be fighters, as most Catholics know, but we’ve been dumbed down by those who don’t know history very well, but are really sure of their opinion of the Bible. s/ Flame away.
Hell no, kind of what keeps us coming around here.
