I will vote for Romney if he is the nominee and save our nation from the evil of an Obama second term.

In the meantime, Romney is out collecting money from Democrat donors, the Las Vegas mob.

With either Obama or Romney, the USA is finished, kaput, done-in.

But don’t worry — it’ll be Palin/Bachmann 2012, and you’ll know for sure by Independence Day!

RE “I will vote for Romney if he is the nominee and save our nation from the evil of an Obama second term. Unlike you I will not destroy our nation by taking my toys and going home just because I don’t get everything I want. You are selfish and no better than a Democrat.

If you support Romney you are a Democrat, certainly a liberal.

Besides, what is wrong with Palin as president? Why are you trying to convince freepers to look elsewhere?

You really are a sad little man.

Instead of answering my question, you resort to personal attacks.

I'm not sure any more whether you're a troll or just a garden variety idiot.

Ttfn.

Wonder why DeMint won’t throw his hat in the ring. A DeMint/Cain ticket would be interesting.

And he loves muzlims. Never will he get my vote. Never.

You're a moron and likely a troll. Daniels grandparents are Syrian CHRISTIANS who immigrated here. He has more insight into the Muslim world, and how it treats the Christian world, than any other candidate (other than the President, for obvious and far worse reasons). Daniels was given a nice little commemorative award from the Arab American Institute simply because of where his grandparents were born... and you take that to mean "he loves Mu[s]lims"?

You're even worse than the MSM at baseless smears... and that's quite a difficult accomplishment.

Governor’s Second Annual Iftar
Written by Administrator

Governor’s Second Annual Iftar (Ramadan 2006)

September 25, 2006:: Indianapolis, Indiana: The Muslim Alliance of Indiana (MAI) helped organize the second Annual Governor Iftar at the residence of Governor Mitch Daniels on Monday, September 25, 2006. Gov. Mitch Daniels reached out to more than 150 Muslims from across the state Monday night, welcoming them to his official residence for Iftar (a meal to end their daily fasting during Ramadan).

Shortly after sunset, the Muslim call to prayer rang out over the home’s back garden in the voice of Henry Hane, an immigrant from Senegal. The Muslims followed that by breaking their daily fasts with dishes from three continents. Then they performed their ritual prayers in two tents in the backyard of the residence at 4750 N. Meridian St.

Daniels told the crowd, “All God’s people are equal in his eyes. I am glad to welcome you to this home. You should think of this as your home.” The audience of Muslims from every corner of the state embraced the hospitality and presented Daniels gifts ranging from books on Muslim sex education to a wooden box ornately decorated with calligraphy from Syria, which is home to Daniels’ ancestors.

Obama says he is a Christian, too. Actions speak louder than words. If you want to support muslims, that’s your choice. I won’t and I won’t support anyone who does.

Filed under *Republican Flavor of the Week*. The GOP is a leadership wasteland.

Finally, a detractor with something intelligent to say! Yes, the GOP is abhorrent at leadership, and at finding leaders. (True leaders simply step up, but the GOP seems convinced that they must be the King-makers... because if they're not, they know they'll be seen as even more useless than they already are now).

However, Daniels is not a terrible choice.
1 .He's exceptional on fiscal policy (being Bush's OMB Director is seen as a negative by many, those were the budgets of the Bush Administration and Bush's GOP Congress. The OMB Director is not responsible for creating the budgets. Indiana's budgets, for which he is directly responsible, are among the best in the US)
2. He does NOT put social issues on the back burner, as some mischaracterize. He pointed out that fiscal issues are MUCH more urgent right now, nothing more. And, even while getting castigated for that poor choice of words, he got a tough immigration bill passed, and defunded Planned Parenthood in Indiana. That shows true Leadership... no candidate other than Sarah has done anything remotely close.
3. He is an excellent Christian who does NOT use his faith to pander for more votes. His wife is heavily into crisis pregnancy counseling, his four daughters are all involved in Christian works, and he very privately does a lot for Christian schools.
4. He is an excellent family man. His wife left him in 1994 to go marry another man in California. He took care of their four young daughters by himself until she came back to him 4 years later. The primary reason he has no declared his candidacy yet is because he is waiting for his wife's blessing... because they both know she'll get ripped to shreds for that single poor decision, which they all made peace with years ago.

This is not a weak man, nor a poor leader, nor a RINO. Look at the responses on this thread. Virtually every negative comment is made up of derogatory comments rather than substantive reason. That alone should tell you that the "con's" are mostly baseless. They attack his appearance, they use mischaracterizations of his words, and they ignore his record.

He's a good candidate, and certainly worthy of getting in the mix. Personally, I'd love to see the GOP race come down to Daniels, Pawlenty, Sarah, and DeMint... with Herman Cain and Colonel West the last two to drop out before those four names hit Super Tuesday and the main Primary run.

So you don’t think Muslim citizens are equal or should be welcomed at a dinner? Ready for a religious war or Crusade? Again, you’re a moron. Don’t post to me anymore. Looking at your posts over the past week, you’re simply not worth reading. Glad you like Sarah, and I hope she gets a fair shot at the nomination and the Presidency, but you’re a doofus.

Sometimes you just need a civil war.

From your Home Page. Great Christian thought there. Anyone who has seen war will tell you that it is an absolute last resort, and should never be welcomed. You beg for it. Pathetic.

Sorry, but a Daniels presidency would be a fourth Bush term. He’s a Bush Republican to the hilt. Not what this country needs at this point in history at all. Far from it. And every one of the other candidates you list is just as bad.

That's a rather empty characterization. Quantify it. Just because he was Bush's Director of OMB does not mean he would budget that way. Look at what the man did in Indiana. His budgets are among the best in the land, even during economic tough times. He limits spending, cuts programs, privatizes, etc., whereas Bush and his Congress just spent more and more and put Kennedy in charge of the Education budget, etc. Daniels defunded Planned Parenthood, while Bush sent more money to every liberal program.

Again, specify exactly how he will not be "conservative enough" (and I'm starting to believe that even Reagan would not be, to the current FR crowd)

(I'm also starting to wonder about the RINO term. What's so great another weak Republican? It seems the Party is less and less conservative every year. I'd regard "CINO" (Conservative) as a bigger slight than "RINO" (Republican). The twin jibes of "Establishment guy!" and "RINO!" seem to be mutually exclusive, are they not? The spineless GOP is the biggest obstacle for the successful implementation of the ideals of conservative voters today. It's starting to seem like RINO ought not be a smear anymore, except to those for whom party loyalty means more than the advancement of conservative ideals.)

A good place to start is how they stand on child-killing. Like Bush, he thinks it’s okay to kill some of them. This is the best litmus test, or predictor of how they will govern, there is.

Romney is probably the worst of the current crop of RINO LOSER Republicans. Romney is closer to a straight socialist than a RINO though.
