He certainly missed the “Mark”.
The “kingmaker” meme is code for shut up and stay in the background....be our slave and raise money/recruits. While you’re at it, fix us a sandwich and get a beer..
I agree with him. With Newt, Romney, Pawlenty and whoever all running in a pack in the high teens, whoever Plain backs wins. The smart move by one of these guys is to tap her as VP again.
SPOT ON !
I refrain from disparaging remarks about Steyn, a mind and sensibility I stand in awe of. I do, however, hope he writes a column in full on his thoughts about Palin. Why should she be a kingmaker? Why shouldn’t she run? I truly want to know his thoughts.
Suggesting that someone is a sexist merely because they don't support your favored candidate makes you sound like a total leftist baby.
That’s my take on it too, ak267.
That attitude really ticks me off!
They want to use her for their advantage, but don’t want her upsetting their playhouse.
After all of the hard work, risks, and money she has spent the last 3 years (not to mention the efforts she will put in on her campaign) she deserves first crack at the prize.
I agree. (Although I don’t think that’s how Steyn means it.)
I don’t see why Sarah Palin can’t do both: Be in the race and then, if she doesn’t win it, eventually be a KING(?)maker. (What’s up with the assumption that it’s inevitble that only a man can win? Why can’t she be a Queen maker?)
Everyone and anyone who wants to go for it should be welcomed.
