Mark Steyn says he has a soft spot for Tim Pawlenty and believes he may be the last man standing to challenge Obama in 2012. He also says Newt wont be President and that Trump isnt conservative and trashes his demonization of China as the single source of all that ails us.
As for Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin, Steyn says he wouldnt advise them to enter the field of 2012 GOP candidates. He says Sarah Palin would make a better king-maker and Huckabee should stick with his successful Fox News show.
On Palin... we agree... on the not voting or sitting out if she isn’t in... I don’t.
Ron Paul will never make it through the primaries.
What are you his posse?
Not at all, to say the most!
Sorry... this post has me imagining you cowering in fear of nopardons?????
I used to post that here, every single primary/election cycle; however, NOT NOW! There are far too many absolutely dreadful, as bad as Obama/some worse runners this time around, which I did a rather quick list of and you poo pooed/senselessly called me an "Obama lover" over.
There is just NO WAY IN HELL that I'm going to vote for Romney/Newt/Daniels/Pawlenty/Paul/Cain/Christy/name-that-toon!
But YOU said "anyone" and Paul's "anyone"!
Oh yes, at all and I have no posse. You need to try to figure out some things, pretty fast, here, as you are embarrassing yourself.
That doesn't make sense. Please explain why you say this. What's your rationale, or, what am I missing?
If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.Or you can get raw with these strings. Either way, the violin is sweet yet lethal.
Do it!
No of course it doesn’t.
But a lot of her perceived influence comes from the recognition that she is a possible presidential contender.
One of the reasons the left fears her because they perceive her as a threat.
It's quite fair. I was a Palin supporter before most people on this forum even heard of her. But the few times I tried to have a reasoned discussion about her as a politician I was flamed big time - called all sorts of unkind names.
I love Sarah Palin, but I won't drink the Kool Aid. The worst flames came when I pointed out that she is NOT a Ronald Reagan. By the time Reagan ran for president he had FOUR successful careers under his belt.
I probably shouldn't continue this conversation. The last time I discussed Sarah I was nearly banned from Freerepublic, which gives you some kind of idea of the sentiments of the Mods.
Okay, does the name ALLEN KEYES ring a bell?
A black GOP candidate, against Obama, isn't the way to go. It won't garner more of the black vote, for the GOP, and sets up the "Uncle Tom"/race traitor hustle.
And then there is the simple fact that Cain isn't going to be the GOP nominee.
If Hillary were the DEM candidate, it would take a woman to beat her. WHY ? Because of the tactics she's used against men. But she's done;stick a fork in her.
But against Obama? Not a black person, not an older, Southern white man, and most assuredly not a lackluster, spineless RINO ! It all has to do with the look and sound of things and how the DEMS can twist things.
You embarrass yourself. Your defensive attitude says it all.
So basically... choice of “this crop of pygmies” vs. Obama... you will allow Obama a second term. I understand you completely.
Suggesting that someone is a sexist merely because they don't support your favored candidate makes you sound like a total leftist baby.
Sorry... I love Mark Steyn, but he is wrong on this one.
Oh my.........projection much? You really do take the cake!
There isn't a candidate, now named, or thought of, outside of Palin, who has a chance against wee Barry. Most are boring, spineless dolts, some are just KOOKS, a few are extremely damaged goods, some have almost no to middling experience, an d some are combinations of that list plus more.
But since you have taken umbrage with my posts, instead of just calling me names, why don't you at least attempt to prove my points wrong? I dare you...........I DOUBLE DOG DARE YA !
You need to wake up and smell the coffee FRiend. Instead of trading imbecilic put downs, perhaps you should explore your options if Palin is not nominated or does not run. It seems from what you have stated here, that you would allow Obama to be re-elected. Now that is immature to say the least and disastrous to this country if it were to happen... all because you think on some off-chance that Ron Paul may be the nominee, which is highly unlikely. So how about being truthful and realistic about what is happening here, instead of crying “neener neener” and running back behind your Mommy’s skirt?
