oh my god, its an allusion to the burning bush in the bible.

LIAR. The Quote: "Burn a Bush cos’ for peace he no push no button Killing over oil and grease no weapons of destruction"

A burning bush is in the bible. A burning Bush is a President. Note the capitalization. Furthermore, burning bits of vegetation are not known to push buttons, or kill over oil.

Admin Moderator, I got a feeling about this one. He appears to be -- POSSIBLY -- an infiltrator.

Infiltrator. Because im getting annoyed at the stupidity of this whole story and how people are up in arms when there are more important things to be angry about?

Yes, because id rather have americans focus on the economy and jobs or how about a little aid to the people who need it in the south. OR we can sit and go insane about how this man Common shouldnt be let into the holy house because he has a rap song that can be interpreted in different ways. yes it can be interpreted different ways. If you arent content with the biblical allusion, then why are you so hung up on YOUR interpretation.

Let me break down that line for you.

Burn a Bush. This is clearly the sentence that has bothered people.

The line about cop killing is taken out of context and the full verse has him going on to disavow that and preach for peace.

Lets go back to the Burn a bush. firstly saying you will burn someone can have alot of meanings: it can mean to expose them, to actually burn them or in the context where kids (maybe not as much these days) use it when they make fun of friends or something(although this is similar to exposing and i dont think common meant it the way these kids use it). So its either: a) exposing b)burning

He says “burn AAAAA bush”. Using the word, a, implies that it is NOT a person. Do you say “im going to have lunch with a bush.” or “im going to have lunch with bush”. One of those sentences implies you are going to have lunch with an actual bush, as in shrubbery. Thats why it is interpreted as an allusion to the bible, aswell as exposing bush.

The guy is free to say what he wants, but I dont think he is advocating violence against the president. To say that is disingenuous.

On the accusation that I am an “infiltrator”. Yes, you caught me, I signed up on this site almost a year ago because I was waiting for the day to defend a rapper. YOU GOT ME!
