The Norman resident is visiting U.S. troops stationed in the Middle East on his ninth United Service Organization/Armed Forces Entertainment tour. He was without cellphone service for a time after President Barack Obama’s announcement Sunday that bin Laden, the mastermind behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, had been killed in a firefight with Navy SEALs in Pakistan.

Yes, I've always been a bit skeptical of Toby Keith.
He just performed here in Baghdad a couple of weeks ago to a huge crowd and he seems to genuinely support the troops. A lot of his lyrics sound fiercely patriotic (and some are also quite raunchy).
I could really like this guy if he didn't support the Democrats.
But I don't really trust anybody who would support those engaged in destroying all that is truly American.
Last I knew, Keith was a registered Independent.
Even if a Democrat, most OK Dems are a different breed than east or west coast dems.

I began my book about a year and a half ago. :)
I'm well into the rough draft and will spend some time finishing it, refining it and then joining a writers' group to get the proper feedback before doing what I hope will be the final revision. :)

I guess he thought the Democrat Party was going to far to the Left so he supported the Middle of the Road Candidate.
I'm to the point that I don't talk to Family members who supported the One, so Toby can do what he wants. I'm glad he is entertaining the same people that the President was willing to throw under the Bus during the Budget negotiations a few weeks ago.
Hi all! I was sitting not even three feet from Toby when I heard him say that he thought Obama was a good candidate for the Democrat party, but he never endorsed him. In fact in that same conversation, he said that he “loved” Sarah Palin. But the “left” wanted to grab hold of the headlines and claimed Toby supported Obama. He never did.
I don’t want Toby to be painted with the wrong colors. Internet info doesn’t always tell the whole story.
(Can you tell I love me some Toby Keith?!)
