Yay! I’m a Cajun booster! It’s not easy, but persevere!
My stages of quitting smoking:
1. Oh man, do I smell tobacco? I want a cig.
2. I smell tobacco. Get that filty stuff away from me! I still want one.
3. I still have my security pack in the freezer and can have one whenever I want.
4. [lights up] Bleeaasch! [douses cig under water and tosses in the trash] [repeat over the next year with about 1/2 of the security pack]
5. I hate smokers and tobacco smoke!
6. [discards security pack with about ten smokes left]
7. [a number of years later] Oh man, do I smell tobacco? Mmm... that smells nice. [walks away without attacking smoker or wanting to smoke]
8. I don’t smoke; Hubby doesn’t smoke. Maybe I could get a pack and cut the cigs up and burn them like incense.**
** The reason I started smoking was that I liked the smell. I still like it, but my addiction is gone, thank you, God.
