I don’t know of anybody losing their volition when they drink a coffee, but I do know of people who lose their freedom to exercise volition when they consume heroin.

They make a conscious choice to do so in the first place. Knowing full well the consequences.
Keep trying to draw those lines to justify holding the whip-hand over your fellow man.
Maybe in another 70 years you'll finally figure out that being principled is a hell of a lot more effective than being a Nanny.

I know lots of people who lose their volition when they consume alcohol.
Shouldn't we make that illegal again?
