That would explain Johnson’s awkward, catty unprompted criticism of Governor Palin’s outdoors pursuits. That was offensive and dumb of him.
Gays do seem to have a particularly visceral pattern of hostility toward Palin - see also Hollywood and media (way over-represented by liberal gays, imho).
