Fox News has terminated its contracts with former Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Senator Rick Santorum after the deadline for them to decide on presidential bids passed on May 1, a source familiar with the move told POLITICO.
Fox suspended the two contributors in early March and stopped paying them as they mulled presidential runs, but left them the option of returning to the network. The contracts' end marks another sign that Gingrich, who has repeatedly delayed his decision citing business obligations, is in the race -- though he dropped out of tonight's Fox debate.
The network may also intensify the network's pressure on Mike Huckabee,

Good grief, the GOP field is shaping up to be one hell of a freak show...
Oh no what excuse will I have now to turn of some of the stupid shows he is on almost every day? Gasp
Maybe now I can watch, oh wait they still have the idiot twins, Juan and Bill.
The GOP is the UN of American politics.
I wish they would get rid of the Warshington Doughboy, Karl Blove.
Wait a sec, does that mean anyone who hasn’t filed yet can’t run ?
The damn establishment RINOs are determined that bummer is reelected. They’re going to split the conservative vote 5 ways, Romney will sail through and he’s about the only candidate that can fail.
It’s a sick twisted farce.
Why them and not Huckabee? Why not all three?
No, not even close. Each state is different, but prospective candidates probably start turning into pumpkins sometime in early December, or later depending on when the state's primary is actually held.
There is no federal deadline to announce a candidacy. All that matters is getting on the ballot in the requisite number of states.
Wallbanger will still have Newtus Agustus on his radio show.
Eboo thinks Huck will crack like a nut under pressure
What if Hunter runs again and just shoots everyone else on the slate? Might THAT be the way to conservative liberation?
No, if that were what it meant, it would be the REVERSE of the time when Fox would axe them. It's probably an internal Fox deadline that says "You must decide by May 1 that you aren't going to run this cycle or you can no longer appear as a commentator on Fox till you DO commit to staying out." Wonder if any of the networks with greater actual levels of bias, but on the acceptable side, worry about crap like this.
So we know Huckeabee’s answer: he’s not running, otherwise he would have been terminated by Fox also.
I believe Clinton entered the race in November.
