I’m glad, as this perhaps seems reflective of a more traditionally conservative Reagan-style approach to foreign policy, as opposed to the expansive Bush-style nation-building approach. But I don’t want to necessarily disparage Scheunemann, as he seemed to be one of the few decent eggs from the McCain camp, in that he remained respectful and supportive of Palin while so many of the others slimeballs gleefully and gratuitously stabbed her in the back following the election.

He worked his ass off for her and championed her cause when few of the others in the campaign would. I hope this parting was amicable, because as best I can tell from this distance, he was one of the good guys.
